Studio Photoshoot.
Creative Direction.
Styling.
What started out as a casual headshot session turned into a fun creative photoshoot after realizing the studio space had more props, lighting and dynamic backgrounds to work with. Working with my long-time college friend, we had a moodboard that evolved and adapted to our space - which was the most exciting for me - and we ran with the theme of stepping away from a day-job that sustains financially, and into the creative side of what fulfills us. I have to say quite literally coming from a day job at that. A corporate specialist by day and graphic designer by night (that wears many hats in many cases - model, photo editor, creative director, stylist and so and so forth).

The creative direction involved props and lighting included in the shots since it required so much movement, adjustments and, well, compromise. The black background representing more of a “creative block” after sitting in front of a computer all day to sitting in front of another in hopes to feel “inspired to create something” in a dark room.
Outfit 01
You could say this was a little more “reflective”. A subtle range of different angles with a skewed perspective of, well, myself. I tend to absorb, turn, and mimic energies others put out right on back. I very much believe this fuels my open-mindedness to different areas in life.
Outfit 02
In comparison to the reflective approach with all the mirrors we could find, this is more direct. More eye-contact. More standing my ground (or sitting, in this case).
Outfit 02
Last but not least, the corporate side. Although slightly distracted and restless. Almost impatiently eager.
